No I'm telling you I've had success with them.
And after getting a new one with the proper rubber O ring and it was still leaking, damaged I would consider it.

A little thread sealant is not going to hurt anything and might stop a small leak. Teflon tape does not seem to work as well and some petroleum products can degrade it. Thread sealant is made for the application and will hold up, but if you have a crack..........

If threads are cracked is it repairable?

Disregard my post #4 as I just re-read your OP.

You state it is a 2016 Heritage, you can just replace the oil drain hose and drain plug without removing the oil tank assembly. $10 for the hose & $4 for the plug and $5 for the clamps.

If it is a Heritage, it does not have the oil pan underneath.

Is the oil tube that penetrates through frame that holds drain plug replaceable?

Teflon is impervious to petroleum products.

If the plug was extremely tight, difficult to remove, I suspect the threads in the frame are messed up.
