Default Replace lifters from above

Hi there

I have a streetglide ST flhxst 2022. It has a 3030 star cam in it. When it was new , like 200 miles , they didnt change the lifters. I was thinking about new lifters. Option for feuling hp+ lifters and s&s lifter cuffs. It had now 2000 miles on it.

I want to change the lifters from above. I have SE adjustable pushrods. Thinking of running the engine hot before take those lifter cuff bolt loose. Then lifters out en new lifters in + cuffs.

is this a good lifter for my setup ? thankyou

I’d just leave it alone and run it. Unless you’re doing high rpm’s regularly 4,000+ for extended amounts of time.

You are putting about 700 miles a year on it, no need to fret over lifters, and you most certainly don`t need lifter cuffs...

I think he was talking about removing the lifters from the top, so he would need to remove the cuffs for extraction.

Yeah, replacing lifters on a motorcycle that gets ridden 700 miles a year, I know exactly what he was talking about.

700 miles a year is nowhere near enough to even keep up riding skills...

Does good oil make a difference in wear of the lifters/camshaft?. Typical the frosting of the lifters.

Maybe he has more than one bike?
