Exclamation compression releases

Just to settle an argument with a friend, please let me know if 2007 or 2009 stock 96 CI engine has automatic compression releases.

i dont think a stock engine needs it, the compression is low enough it can turn over without problem.

A pretty extensive google search brings up multiple threads on many forums of people who had to ADD a compression release to a twin cam that they bored to 109 or more CI. so that also shows it doesnt come stock.

No, they don't.

The Revolution engines did 'till 2007. Now with the larger batteries they don't need it either.

Low compression combined with a big battery means they don't need it.
