I have always noticed popping when I let off the throttle and sometimes at idle w/ my se slip ons and have checked for leaks where they slip on and came up empty. Now I have the full sac true dual kit w/ the same slip ons and just put my pc3 on as well and still have the popping. Now I did not replace the header gaskets when I switched to the true duals but the popping was before that anyways. What do you guys think and should I just go ahead and replace the header gaskets? I thought the pc3 would help w/ this but it didnt, it did take some of the popping away while driving though.
Hold a rag over the muffler outlet and have someone feel for leaks at every joint.
Add 20 to the 0% column from 1500 on down and see if that helps with the popping. If it does, drop the 20 down by 2. Keep dropping it down by 2 until it pops again, then bump it back up 2. This will help you find out exactly how much you need to add to eliminate the popping, without running rich. Some exhausts pop more than others and with some a small amount of popping is normal.
