Python BSS install question(s)
Hello! I've got a 2000 WG with stock headers and SE slip ons. I've been GIVEN a set of Python BSS headers complete with heat shields and baffles...perfect condition with the exception of a missing spigot ring on the rear pipe. It was there at one point but the guy who gave 'em to me has no idea what happened to it. I've ordered a new spigot along with some header gaskets. The front pipe has the original spigot ring and it looks like it is wrapped around the front edge of the pipe...fits perfectly. The pics of the spigot rings I've purchased look like they're completely flat...like a flattened finger ring. Is this the case or is there a small 'lip' on there? I would think it's a standard thing as the lip would keep the spigot in place on the pipe.
I'm planning on re-using the header clamp and retaining ring...any issues there? I'd rather not screw this up.
Does any of that make sense?
