first start up question

first start up question
I have a 1981 sportster xlh 1000.I recently took it apart for a paint job.I also replaced the oil lines,they were in bad shape.I know to fill the oil filter with oil but is there anything else I need to do before start up?basically Im nervous about the "dry start".any help is appreciated.
