Default how to keep a twin cam alive

I am the owner of a new to me '02 FXDX ,first Harley. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to keep one running ? I mean maintenance wise. I remember reading an article a few years ago that discussed keeping evo's running , is there any about twin cam's ? How many miles can I expect outta one ?

Thanks,
Rich

Check your cam chain tensioners, and ride the hell out of it. Properly maintained, 100k or more is nothing.

I ride with a guy that has just rolled over 150K on an Ultra Classic. One set of tensioner shoes and 1 belt. I won't live long enough to put that many on the one I have.
