Default Milwaukee eight cam tensioner design

What I've read is they are the same as the twin cam chain tensioners?

A) Are they the same as twin cam, is that true?

B) Will Milwaukee eight suffer like the chain tensioners on the twin cam?

C) If it will be problematic in M8, will gear driven cams be possible upgrade like they are for the twin cam?
(Someone informed me it wouldn't be possible on M8 something about looseness I don't quite remember)

They should probably be checked around 40k miles but I do believe they’re hydraulic. To change to gear driven you need to be sure your runout is correct

What happens if someone removes the chain tensioner....(not replaced). What does that "little" slack cause ???? It doesn"t seem the "slack" is alot.

Sorry, Trying to understand the value of the chain tensioner...inquiring mind wants to know.

It could be more than you think. Automotive cam chains didn’t have tensioners and they fit with almost no slack when new, but as they wore they would at times jump teeth and put the cam out of time.

Hard to find a larger group of over thinkers. Remove the tensioner? Why would they design an engine part to be vestigial?

I don't, but by looking at the slack of the chain..maybe a 1/4 of an inch....has anyone ever ridden one without the tensioner.....just because a 50 years old motorcycle had one and maybe needed one, it doesn't mean a 2000+ new motorcycle needs one...fyi..MOTO went from two cams to one ( just a new way of thinking)......if MY '05 RK still had a tensioner I would see if it would run without one...well that would be a hell of a mod.
