Cool Cam Choices

Hi all,

I have a dilemma, like we all do at times. I'm looking to install a set of the S&S EZ cams, either the 551 or the 583. Here is what I'm working with:
2008 SG
103"
SERT- going to get the TTS upgrade soon!
P/P heads with 2" intake, 1.625" exhaust, Hi Lift Springs, 10:1 compression (estimated, no paperwork to verify)
V&H Pro Pipe HO
Currently running a SE 251 cam.(2800-6400 ish)
This comes on way too late for my taste. I commute 140 miles daily riding solo, So- Cal Freeway at about **+ mph average (let's just say a little faster than the posted limit ). I ride two up most weekends. I do have some hot start issues, and don't want to fry my starter or anything else for that matter, hence the reason for the EZ cams. These were actually recommended by my local indy shop. I was favoring an Andrews setup and having some C/R's installed, when he told me about these.
So what I'm getting at in a roundabout way is which of these is going to work best for my setup and riding habits. I appreciate your input.

I've been looking at the woods tw-555 cams I think they will deliver a little more low end torque but you might need the c/r's for them. I'm looking at putting them in a stock 96.

You dont need comp releases for the 555. Iv'e had her in 117dg temps in vegas and never had any issues starting. Something to do with the overlap and dynamic compression.
