I want to install the chrome engine cover kit on my 2003 hd fxd and repaint the engine black. I figured I would just take the whole engine/tranny out as one and do it all outside the frame but after reading some threads it seams like thats not even close to being as easy as it sounds. So what would need to be done to make this as smooth and easy as possibe without doing it half @$$? I've seen a few threads of people painting the engine/tranny while its still in the frame (it just requires alot of masking). Thanks
