Engine noise at idle

Engine noise at idle
Sorry for the double post. Maybe a better place.

I have a whirring noise that gets louder when hot. Sounds like a busy sewing machine only louder. Not a knock. Took it to HD today and they checked the cam tensioners, and primary chain adjustment (I just installed an auto chain adjuster)
Both were good. Scratching heads. He said he has heard this noise before and it was tight rod clearance. Any thoughts. Is this terminal?
Do I keep riding until it grenades? It runs great and makes no noises off idle that I can hear.

I just had the cam tensioners replaced in my '05 Deluxe at 22k with the "upgraded" ones so I don't have to deal with the design-flawed stock ones. I still hear that noise you have described. It's not using oil and it's not running poorly. I would sure like to hear the answer to this one.
