Default .030 Cometic heat gaskets

Questions about these gaskets.
1. With these, is there enough valve clearance for the pistons? Meaning...do you need different pistons to allow more clearance?
2. From stock, what will these put your compression at?

I have searched, but couldn't come up with anything concrete.

Thanks for the replies.

Default More Info...

You may want to give a little more info such as engine size, year, cam mods, cylinder heads....etc.

I can tell you that I have been considering the same swap from the stock head gaskets. I did run a CCP test to see what kind of pressure existed currently. I had 190 PSI and my 103 does have ACR's. My only regret is that I didn't do it when I did the Stage II update on the engine some months ago.

I guess I need to update my profile and list my bike....Im on a '13 RG. Im gonna go with the Andrews 57H cams. No cylinder head mods, and I dont plan on doing any.

I am not an expert on these but the .030 gaskets are commonly used on most engine builds that involve top end removal. The Andrews 57 cam specs at TDC are not anything out of the ordinary either( there are some cams that have much bigger numbers), plus they are listed as bolt in cams so I cannot see any issues but you can always call Andrews to be sure. They should give your compression about a .25 bump so your 103" is at 9.6:1(I have a 103" Dyna) it will go to ~ 9.85:1.
