engine stall w/ low fuel
Well; in regards to Road king stalling problem;, I replaced the existing shot exhaust baffle w/newer design for my Supertrapp 2-1. Had the Powercommander updated and repaired by dynojet w/download for upgrades. Well; bike still soon stalled out on acceleration, but would start right up,but crawl home. I filled tank w/fuel, and problem was gone, and ran perfectly. The only components I would think to inspect and/or replace now, would be the lower fuel hose from filter to lower tank fitting, and/or the fuel pump. I've already replaced the idle actuator, short fuel line in tank (from regulator to pump), filter and regulator.
Any suggestions what to replace or test?
Thanks;
Howie...
If the tank was around half full, I would suspect a pinhole leak in the fuel pick-up line.

Thanks for reply. The lower line is the next replacement. The tank was at least past reserve to quarter tank. If replacement doesn't fix, I can use either new or modify existing fuel line to test operation of pump output. What pressure out of pump am I looking for?
Thanks again;

Well I've so far replaced both lower and upper lines, regulator and filter. still same problem. Crimp clamps on tight. Mid red bar to 1/4 tank on gauge runs fine@ idle. Run hard 2 miles, and shuts down. Starts back up but keeps shutting down shortly after start-up, repeats each 1/4 mile, but still runs great @idle. put just over 1/4 tank of fuel in tank, no problem; runs great at any rpm's. Problem seems to be in tank, what next?
