I"ll buy it, showed up at my friends house and he left his Softtail idling to recharge his battery! It was smoking all around the top of the engine then he shut it off. We were still able to go on a ride but I was a little worried for him.
He should have rolled it outside and let it continue to idle in the wind for about 5 minutes. Then, he should have gone for an easy ride to completely cool it off, and when he got it back home checked the oil. My guess is an oil change would be forthcoming.

Drain all the oils & see what it looks like & pull the primary cover or trailer it to the dealership & have them 'SHOW YOU' what's bad. Don't ever take anyone's word.
