Default 95" build

Got a question, that probably has many answers.

I have a 2001 dyna sg. 88"

I am a gathering parts for a 95" build.
So far I have the pistons and cylinders, SE-204 cams ,
From bigpete , stated to be 9.4:1 with stock heads.
Adjustable pushrods on order, gaskets, bearings, and tensioner shoes.

I bought a set of edelbrock ported heads on eBay, but the guy is a piece of **** and never sent them.

Now a guy told me I should just look for some stock 96" heads, as a cheap alternitave.

I'm not building a screaming race bike, but would like a good runner that pulls harder than now.
Money isn't a huge issue, but I'm not buying $1000 heads either, as I still needs pipes too.

Should I look for a set of 96", or look for some ported 88" ??

Any input is appreciated.

A set of our Stage I Heads won't break the bank.
1.900" intakes, 1.610" exhausts, etc.
