I thank you for your advice, unfortunately you might as well be speaking Spanish, I don't know what all your information means. I am learning and do appreciate your input
i went with woods 222 with stock 103 heads and no compression work...it hits low and through midrange, but doesn't suffer in the top end IMO. great cam, but apparently won't be as strong if i end up doing head work and compression bump. i guess when/if i go that route i will look at a different cam, but for now it pulls nice and hard. btw, with what you keep describing, it sounds like you are more after a high tq number, but you keep saying 100 hp. don't be so fixated on 100hp, as i bet you would be thrilled if you had 110 tq and 85 hp. throw in a good cam and see what you think, and i bet it will keep you happy for a while, 100hp or not.

Thank you that is good to know. Sounds like what I may be looking for. By the way, do you know about what I am producing now as far as HP and torque?

Why 204 or 255? What is the difference? My riding style is basically back roads, no long rides, I want a low end power increase, at least I think I do....I am very new at this and have little knowledge.
My reference to SE cams was based on your indicated preference for SE cams; certainly there are other aftermarket choices.
The SE204 is a very underrated cam IMHO; good low end, great midrange and will carry out past 5000rpms. The 255 is a torque monster in a 103; torque right off idle and strong midrange but starts to fade about 4000rpms and is all in by 4500.
work_truk's recommendation for the TMan 555 Torkster is a good one; the Andrews 48 would also be one to consider IMHO. Of course, all is for naught without good exhaust and tune.
I have a 2012 ultra limited with fuelmoto 2-1-2 head pipe and VH twin slash mufflers and 255 cams and breather. I get 116 TQ, 90 HP. But the thing is then you want more. I ride two up all the time and pull a trailer sometimes and this setup does real well. It is not very often that I have to shift down because i run out of power. I think you would be real happy with something like this.
Thanks for the info, some of the technical stuff is still way over my head this early on in owning a HD. I really want to upgrade in stages but also want to do it the economical way. So cams will really make a difference I will notice?
I mostly do short rides, back roads and some inner city rides, I want the power at the take off and early on.
best bet is to do it in one shot! find someone that can tune well otherwise nothing but a waste of good parts.
First off; welcome to the Forum. Dozens of members/sponsors here that are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Like "primetime said, if you can do it all at once, do it; and don't forget a good tune., not a $100 download canned map. Doing it once saves the labour, unless of course you're doing it yourself. By having a competent skilled person tuning the build, it makes it that more beneficial in seeing/feeling the improvements of the upgrades you've made. Good luck...
Put the stage 4 pro kit in it and you wont look back, you will get heaps of performance straight up even with just a canned map from dynojet or fuelmoto or the SE one
Get all the kit, no need to go here for heads or here for a throttle body, just bolt it on and vrooom vrooom off you go
Thanks

If this is an accurate description of your riding habits, I gotta ask: why do you have a touring bike? In my opinion, way too much bike for what you are doing. You'll get way more out of what you're looking at for mods if you switch to a bike that better matches how you ride.
