Default 1550 Stage II Question.....

I bought a 2000 Road King and when I got home I opened the owners manual package and to my surprise I found every single receipt from new until now. In the receipts I found a receipt for a "1550 Stage 2 Kit" priced at $800 dated 2001.

Can someone tell me what this kit consists of? Is it air filter, exhaust, pistons and cams? For what I can tell, it has Samson Oval slip ons and dual exhaust (exhaust splits into dual when it comes out the rear cylinder head).I would like to know what has been done. Is there a way to tell just by looking at it? It does have a "choppy idle" similar to my small block chevy which has a performance cam. Thanks!

Best regards,
Ed

Stage II by a dealer is big bore pistons/cylinders to increase displacement from 88" to 95", SE 203 cams and the SE clutch spring. Stage I would be free flowing exhaust and air cleaner. The Samson exhaust would indicate that the Stage I upgrade was done as well, either before or at the same time as Stage II. Is the motor carb or EFI?

I would also say that the receipt doesn't necessarily mean that the Stage II upgrade was done on that bike. If the upgrade was done by a dealer you should be able to have your dealer run a check against your VIN to verify. The upgrade was probably done, just saying........

Motor is EFI and stage 1 was done prior to stage 2 (which I found a receipt for as well dated 3 weeks before stage 2). All receipts have the year and model of the bike along with the original owner's name, so I am certain that those receipts are indeed for my bike. Thanks for your help.

Best regards,
Ed
