883 to 1200

hi would sportster evo 883 heads fit on to evo 1200 barrles or do i need 1200 heads.be greatfull for any help....pedro.

you can use the 883 heads. but you will need dished 1200 pistons to bring down the compression ratio.

I am currently using 883 heads w/ 1200 jugs & KeithBlack Dished Pistons

Good decision, the 2003 and later Buell heads work great.

BuCool man.I also just ordered the KB924-020 QUICK QUESTIONS HOWS SHE ROLLING AN I KNOW THE BASE GASKET IS A STANDARD 1200 SINCE ITS ON THE SLEEVE BUT THE HEAD GASKET?DID YOU HAVE TO USE AN OVERBORED 020 HEADGASKET.BEEN LOOKING COMETIC,JAMES ETC.THEY HAVE THE 010 020 030 THICKNESS BUT HAVNT FOUND AN OVER BORE,MY FFG IRST CONVERSION.JUST HITTING YOU UP,WHAT HEAD GASKET YOU USE ANY AN ALL HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED TO THE FULLEST.HOPE SHES ROLLING TUFF!THANKS
