Cruise control issue
While coming back from Sturgis I went to turn on my cruise. It came on for a second or two and quit. The check engine light came on as well. I continued to try getting it to work to no avail. I shut the bike off to get gas, rode for another 100 miles with engine light off tried and it worked. Any clues what could be wrong and since the engine light came on I should be able to pull a code and if so how. Thanks

My brake lever would move just enough to tap the switch and turn off my cruise control if I hit small bump or a gust of wind hit. I bled the brakes and it went it away. Still want to do a full rebuild of my master cylinder.
What year and model bike? If your bike has throttle cables it could be as simple as adjusting them. As the cables stretch over time it throws the CC off. It could also be a bad return throttle cable, in front of your fuel tank you'll see where your throttle cables run up under the tank, you'll see two wires going to the return cable, unplug one of them and see if your CC works, if it does it's a bad cable. Is your brake light working properly? Id it's stuck on then you have a bad brake light switch, either front or rear.
