After getting my 2014 FLHTC and realizing how much improved the out the door feel is I got to wondering if I could swap those cams (and a free flowing A/C) into my wife's 103 Softail - I know if would take a revised tune, but like the idea of having a factory setup that feels better than hers in it's current corked up condition - thoughts/ comments? Yes, I searched - didn't find answer, or missed it anyway.......... thanks!

What year is the softail? Must be a later model if a 103, so the cam will work.
The cam in the "Rushmore" HO 103 is very similar but different in profile to the 255. I forget exactly what changed but the results have shown to be an improvement. Still EPA compliant and restrictive; there are many better aftermarket options. If going to time and expense to change cams, why not get the most for your time and expense? Or maybe you are worried you won't be able to keep up with the wife??
