Default Install S&S tappets

Im installing new tappets and need some info
Is there a intake and exhaust tappet or doesn't it matter which one goes where?

All are the same. Just be sure that oil port is facing (inward iirc but check manual) correct way. Check pin to lifter clearance as well.

Doesn't matter which way the oil port is oriented. Just drop them in, set the anti-rotation pin and done.

Thanks fellas. Cams,cam bearings,tappets and pushrods are done.I installed the new tune from fuelmoto and it fired right up.It kinda freaked me out how it sounded until the tappets got filled with oil.If I had to do it allover again id use the S&S quick push rods.It was a pita taking the tappet blocks off.
It sounds nice now if it will stop raining I can take it for a ride

I soaked mine in 5-30 motor oil overnight, when setting the adjustable push rod length the lifters bled down a lot quicker speeding up the whole process.

But with your fixed pushrods, you won't have to ever worry about an adjuster coming loose to ruin your day
