Mine is lowered with the stock shocks and I would trade you the lowering kit for the original shock extensions. Looks like whoever had the bike before me ran them for a while with no issues.

Can you post a pic?
The original 84 shocks have no thread to make them longer. So I am curious to see how they managed to do it on yours.

This is how it sat before I tore it down. The kit is the exact one that you first posted, but is used. You would have to buys new o rings and
This kit isnt new and would need new o rings, also the finish isnt perfect I cleaned everything up with a wire wheel bc it had surface rust.
Also I am a new member and I think I am not supposed to place any ads. I am not trying to make money of this kit at all. Just if you wanted to trade the stock extensions for the kit I would thats all. I am restoring my bike to as close to stock as I can and I wont be using it.

Haha, I understand, and I would help if I could, but I am from Belgium.
Hey, I'd hate to see you stick those crappy little pogo stick shocks on your 84. I put a used pair of 89+ Progressives on my 86 Softail and they work just great! I only had to replace one transmission bolt and remove a little mount material for clearance. Stock trans mount, left rear Recessing with a standard drill bit Flat head replacement bolt installed Plenty of room between the back of the shock body and the frame brace.

Thank you for the pictures! And the tip!
Did you flip the bolt? So the nut goes on the upper side?
