Default Question on SE Adjustable Pushrod Installation

Need a sanity check on this please. Just finished installing the SE adjustable pushrods per the instructions. My question: if the pushrods have been properly adjusted, are all four pushrods supposed to turn freely at the same time? Or should only two pushrods turn freely when their tappets are at the lowest point, and the other two won't turn because those tappets are at the highest point and basically under load? Wondering if I need to re-do the adjustment so that all 4 pushrods turn freely at the same engine setting....

The pushrods if adj properly should rotate somewhat tight when the cam is at the lowest point Make sure you have the lifters pumped up (ask us how if need be ) Do one cylinder at a time Watch the pushrods move up then down to the bottom travel at this point the rod should rotate after a few minutes say maybe 5 minutes or say after one beer

Thanks sqdeal, I'll check each one individually at the lowest point.

The answer to the question you asked is (essentially) no.
They do not all turn freely at the same time(at the same "engine setting").
Just install absolutely as per instructions.
I advise you ignore other recent advice, as it is clearly confused at best.

The intake and exhaust pushrods will be on the base circle of the cam (closed position) on only one cylinder at a time. This occurs at top dead center on the compression stroke. This is at different times for each cylinder. You set up one cylinder first, then do the other one.

Thanks guys, knocked it out last weekend. Between the instructions, this forum, the Service Manual and a couple EVO websites believe I got it right. Will know this coming weekend when I fire it up.

Finished my project a couple of weeks ago (EV27 cam, SE pushrods, "B" Harley lifters, inner cam bearing, chrome lifter blocks, etc.). Took it for a short test ride before the WX went to ****. Noticed it's running a lot quieter and has a broader power band. Better acceleration. Need to put more miles on it, but the initial impression is real good.
