Default Key Blanks (Flat Blade Type)

I just wanted to pass this info along for those of us who have the older flat blade keys and need a spare key blank. I had no luck for a long time and my only option was to make a trip to a Locksmith. Well before that could happen I ran across these keys on ebay. They looked very similar to mine just by pic reference alone. So I took a chance and it worked out for me. I had my local hardware store cut them. I did however have to grind the tip a bit to give it a tapered edge to fit between the blades in the ignition and the gas cap door. Touched it up on a wire wheel after that and it works great. I actually ordered another one so I will have 2 spares. Here is the link to the ebay post.

Did the E-bay thing myself, came as a pair last week. Harley Davidson imprinted and local hardware store ground. The guy was going to do it for free but I insisted on giving him 5 bucks. Work perfect on my FXLR.
