Elbow grease has been replaced with die grinders and all their attachments.

The only products that really make aluminum castings "bright" are acid based aluminum cleaners...which can do lots of damage trying to clean parts on an assembled bike...so practice on some junk parts...and some of the acid will damage your bones, if you get it on your skin....yeah really.

Btw, I got an almost mirror shine on my 1500 Vulcan aluminum with Mothers mag and aluminum polish. Took a bit of elbow grease.
