I just picked up a 99 FLSTC with 75K miles for $5500. Good paint, good tires and it runs well. There is a fair amount of cosmetic corrosion and rust issues on some of the chrome. Hand controls, bars, etc. The little rectangular doohickey that's attached to the frame looks chewed up one one side. I'll figure out what that is when the service manual comes in.
The miles seem high, but the guy said it had a warrantied factory rebuild at around 35K.
I'm a noob, but I'm smart enough to not learn on my 2014.

A 99'?...hopefully you realize it's not an EVO. ( This is a EVO thread isn't it? )

Well, it might be an "honorary Evo" with Magnetti Marelli injection... lol. I know they used it until 2002, but there's a plethora of info on MM systems here, so, welcome!
1999 last year of the evo softail and last year of the FXSTC evo.
It was replaced by the TC Dunce in 2000, but later reincarnated again in what year I don't remember.
Here is my old bike a 99 FXSTC w/a color matched fatboy front fender and 16 inch thunderstar wheel.
Always hated the little tiny piece of metal the moco called a fender and the 21 inch wheel so modified the bike to my liking.
Thanks. I had some serious buyer's remorse when I got it home, but I'm OK with it now. The guy represented it as 22K miles. I was in a hurry during lunch break when I bought it and figured at $5500, 75K miles was ok since it was running and the paint was good. The wife and I named it "mistake."
