Default MM Air Cleaner

Hello all, I have a 1998 flhtcui with the MM fuel injection. I have had no issues with the MM and the bike runs great. I am looking to upgrade the air cleaner, and am having trouble finding one to fit the MM. Is there an adapter that I can use to put a carb air cleaner on it?

As always, thanks for your time and input.

I modified a K&N from a carby bike by drilling new mounting holes and covering the old one with aluminium tape....worked a treat!

Post a pic of your current filter and I can work out a part number for you.

Thanks! When I saw you had posted, I was ready for the "get rid of the mm post" lol. This bike is put up for the winter, so I won't be able to get a pic. I was thinking I could modify an old carb one that was stock on my 97, I don't care if I destroy it.

I'd love to have an SE air cleaner. would you be able to post a pic of your a/c without the cover and filter. I'd really like to see the backing plate. BTW I followed your thread about the patriot defender exhaust. I think I'm going to get one for my '97

Well, seeing as you brought the subject up......GROTMM!!!!

K&N HD-1395 is listed as a direct bolt on for the MM but you could probably make your 97 fit.

The one I used (and modified) was off a TC I think.

Thanks for the info! If I ever have any issues with the MM, it will be replaced with a cv that I have sitting in a box in the barn!

Check your SE catalogue, there are two air filter kits listed for your bike: #29387-97B and #29364-97.
