So I got my oil lines routed. I found a good picture online of which one off the pump went where. I have the same picture as what you posted in my manual and it shows a higher port and a lower port. Mine are side by side so that didn't help haha.
I got fluid in everything and the exhaust on it and ready to fire and I get clickey clickey (**** me) always something. I checked the battery 13.3 so I threw it on the charger overnight. I now have 14.4 and still getting the click. The click is at the starter relay which is brand new but I know doesn't mean anything. I have to take my wife to the dr later and then I am gonna pull the starter and bench test it to double check that. It's almost like it is trying to kick out but won't for some reason. My buddy said his boys bike did that same thing and he put a new battery in it and it lit. My battery is a brand new lithium ion battery and holds a good charge. I ran it down a little testing lights and stuff as I was wiring it.
I didn't really think that it would just fire right up obviously but why me lol.
Are those top breather heads? And a bottom breather bottom?
Yes my motor is a harley re power motor so it is kinda of a universal motor for all evos. Rumor has it that I could convert it to a shovel pretty easily as well.
Clean and snug up all the connections, particularly the always hot cable from the positive battery terminal to the lug on the starter solenoid. That's the one that works loose on mine and gives me the clickeys.
Man oh man. I think I have the same deal as you. My Dyna is registered as a 1995. Rebuilt the top end and the parts number on my heads says it's an 83'. It's got the breather kit on my heads. Ordered everything and it all fits.
Thought the bike needed to be timed and the carb tuned, but maybe I am wrong.
Sorry for the late reply to your guys suggestions. I haven't had much time to work on it. My wife just had our first child last Tuesday and there went all my free time. I did get to tear it down a little and when I pulled the wires off the solenoid it fell apart. Must have been that. I got a new one so now I just have to put it back together.
I know it has been a minute since I had a chance to post any progress on this thing but I am done with it for now and I have 200 miles on it so far. I am really happy with how it turned out so far.
Next on the list is rear air ride and then doing a matching rear or a solid rear.
