In order to have a productive discussion it helps if the member with a question has first done his homework, whether it is checking the stickies or reading the FSM.
If you don't want to read the stickies, don't. Simple...... but then don't be surprised if you sound like a fool. Discussions should be for clarification and needed help, not for taking someone by the hand to teach them something they could have found on their own.

I don't remember anyone getting bashed for asking a stupid question, the usual response "The only stupid question is the one not asked" or something like that. As for stickies, Nay. A link to the stickies is the best suggestion.
