Default Fork Rebuild Kit?

I'm going to tear the forks apart, new springs and intiminators, newer lowers and brakes, ( not Brembo).

I assume I'll need new seals bushings etc, is there a kit for this, or do I have to order individual pieces from HD?

Bike is 97 FLH.

Thanks

Complete kits are available both on-line (eBay) or various vendors or HD.

Any of the aftermarket kits that are particularly good, or to be avoided?

I think james or cometic makes one that is a whole kit with the new copper crush washers and bolts. That's the one to buy. I am a firm believer of if you can buy a whole lot you will be better off because you never really know what you will end up needing

I recently bought the necessary parts from a dealer, but that was the most convenient way for me.

I did some searching, seems Drag Specialities has a kit with all the seals bushings etc.
Same part keeps showing up in all the catalogs.

Is their stuff any good?

I would trust OEM, Cometic, and James long before I trusted a generic Drag Specialties brand.
But that's just me.

So far that's the only complete kit I've found.

Here's some choices, I used the second one on the list, JP 2300470, put 50k on it, then replaced lowers for Brembo upgrade, bought the same kit again, no regrets.

The only other parts not in the kit is the damper rings($1.49 ea.from HD), endcap o-rings and drain screw seal washers, all of which are usually OK

It's the bushings that wear and get slop, and cause seal leaks.

Something I've learned is the bushings breakin somewhat and dirty the oil, replace fork oil in the first 5K, then about every 15-20k after. At 40 or 50k Harley recommends, the oil usually comes out nasty.
