Default Solid pushrods in an EVO?

A friend of mine was going to change some base gaskets on his 98 dresser and found that there were solid pushrods in it. Why would someone run solid pushrods in an evo? Would it be getting enough oil?

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that they are hollow for oil to flow through. I cut the stockers out of my '97 to do my cam and remember them to be hollow.

FWIW stock pushrods are referred to as solid because there is no adjustment to them.
Yes they are hollow.

Default Solid???

You mean solid as in non adjustable? Cause that's what solids are except for the hollow port that allows oil to go from the lifters to the rockers. Without that the top end would collapse the pushrod and uh oh... there goes Motor.....

Yes they are hollow.

Thanks THC that will probably clear things up a bit. My terminology is lacking. He said that the pushrods that he took out did not have holes in them for oil to run through.

Never heard of evo pushrods that were not hollow for oil to flow thru. I would have to see to believe. probably something lost in the translation.
