Thanks, I kind of wanted to hear that! I have ev 27s and muffler pipes on my other evos and they run strong enough for me.

What are your thoughts on the roller rockers because I was planning on going that route, didn't price them but I do like.

Wear-wise it shouldn't need much. New lifters and freshen the valves, nice cam and bearing. What do you want to do... put it on the shelf for when needed, or swap a hot rod motor into your bike? Be advised....... there is no limit once you go beyond that point. We all will be glad to spend your money.

It's really a learning tool for me. I plan on have my bikes forever, and having hands on experience building the motor will help me. I have not interest in the price tag of a new Ultra (although my wife wants us to get one, I dunno, I'm just an EVO guy). I'm sure I can count on you guys to help overcome obstacles and spend my money!!!.. The last motor I built was an Olds 350 rocket, that started out as a rebuilt with a cam too, but it didn't end up that way.......

I don't think you will notice much difference in a street motor but I like them myself.
I haven't got them in my bike yet but I'm thinking about it too.
I think they will take out some of the ticking.

I can't tell you how many times I took my bike apart and put something in for the fun of it just to see how it works.
My son get irritated with me every time I do it because I was doing it so much for a while there..

Picking up a spare engine just to tinker with and give it a once over...I get it. I would do the same, especially if given a good price. Good luck with it and have fun wrenching on it.

It was posted on this forum before, and I enjoyed watching it over a couple of Stroh's. YD
