Nice find! Looks like there is still space in the garage for a couple more
Well my wife sez I can't cross the middle of the garage floor with my ****. The other side is for her execise equipment. If she'd only use her side half as much as I do my side she'd be able to tread water in a garden hose...
I want to have a EV 27 cam put in. The indie shop sez that I might just as well do the lifters and put in adjustible push rods at the same time as lifters usually need done at about 25K. It has 21K on it now.
I dont know the expected life on the lifters but there are 45,000 on mine-- as to the push rods putting in the adjustables makes future cam chest work easier as the stock rods require you to take the top of the rocker boxes off to get them out , everything ive read says the EV 27 is a nice cam for these motors
Ratman is doing that cam right now

Does this sound correct?
NO
It sounds like they want your money.
Inspect the lifters when they come out sure but they should have at least 20k more miles in them.
New gaskets are way cheaper than adjustable pushrods.
If you are having a shop do the work it might work out about the same or maybe a little cheaper for the adjustables.
If you have any idea how to turn a wrench and a place to do it save yourself a **** load of money and do it yourself.
Just out of curiosity what are they telling you the job would cost?
Damn thats high , if hes putting in adjustable PR then hes just using bolt cutters to take the old ones out , even in the backyard thats a 3 hour job !!!
