Where did those calippers come from? And how do they compare against the stock or is that a stpid question? Also, what are you using for pads?
These particular calipers were stock on a CVO Street Glide, but plenty of late model baggers use Brembo calipers. Pads are stock from my HD dealer, Gainesville H-D... Gainesville, FL.
how much did you have to mill off the mounting tabs? is that all that's required to use late model Brembo's on the evo area lowers?
These are "late" FLH (1" axle) sliders/lowers, mounted on FXST tubes, in Heritage Softail triple-trees. These (Heritage) triple-trees are narrower than late model FLH triple-trees, and the 9-spoke Conestoga wheel (2003 FLH) is wider than a Heritage Softail wheel.
I milled 0.180" off the mounting tabs of both Brembo calipers. Using late FLH 11.8" (300mm) discs, wheel is "centered" in forks. Brembo mounting-tabs / bolt-holes align perfectly with caliper mounts on FLH sliders/lowers... milling compensated for narrower fork / wider wheel combo.
If mounting Brembo calipers to late model FLH sliders/lowers mounted on a late model FLH, should be a direct interchange, no machining necessary... change discs to late 11.8" as well, for full Brembo effect.
Nice job. Stayed away till almost complete to read the entire thread at once. I like the bars. very similar to my 98 fatboy and very comfortable.
What is your primary gear ratio and secondary gear ratio? I as well went to a chain. needed the piece of mind. Broke 2 belts this year and man that really sucks....

Don't remember the tooth count on engine and clutch, but ratio is 1.58:1. Trans sprocket is 24T and rear is 51T for a ratio of 2.125, overall ratio 3.36:1. 2800 RPM @ 62 MPH in 5th... S&S V111 with square bore & stroke of 4.125". (80" EVO has a stock stroke of 4.25")

Very nice with that big block to move it along. Running a similar gear @ 1.53/2.13 for 3.27 overall but went to a 6 speed. 2600@70 and but with only 80"s.
