Will replacing the spotlights on my FLHTC Ultra with something that has H4 or H7 in it make a difference in the ammount of light they give?
My headlight is fitted with an extreme vision light and is bright as hell but the spots are fitted with some kind of sealed units and they are quite poor when it comes to brightness...
Anyone upgraded these and cares to share their experience?
I recently needed to replace one of the spots on a friend's bike and the dealer had a new version that was quite a bit brighter. Sorry, no part number, but was told the new ones superceded the old number.
Thanks for that! I did just take a look in an online catalogue and they list them with the same bulbs as the headlight so they should be quite a bit brighter because my main headlight is very very bright with a Philips Extreme Vision bulb in it!
I can't recommend those highly enough by the way, HUGE difference with ordinary bulbs!
Hi from across the North Sea! You/we have access to top brand European reflectors which can give great beam shape, along with suitable bulbs. What brand reflectors are you talking of?
Take a look at the various brands, like Bosch and Valeo. The reflectors we have are all stock auto parts and any decent European brand should give good results. Although Dutch, Zodiac are an importer of US parts AFAIK and you may find it's cheaper to buy local products. I have a Valeo headlight for my bike, although have yet to fit it.
