Default I keep it clean!

Wuts up guys.. hope all is well in the Evo world... I don't ride my prized possession to much any more for fear I might have to kill someone if they scratched it,, BUT I STILL KEEP IN CLEAN! In fact, cleaner than the 14' Street Glide at times! It gets waxed on a regular basis rolled around the block a time or two, and put back in its safe haven, The garage!

You should consider shrink-wrapping that. Just in case, ya know.

I say ride it.. Having cleaned out the houses of several deceased relatives over the years I can tell you that no one will care about it like you do. Enjoy it while you have time.

It's your bike do what you want with it.

Not riding one of the best bikes Harley made wouldn't be my choice but if it works for you go for it.

the bike doesn't have any great value (neither do mine), so why worry so much about babying it? ride it and enjoy it. maintain it, clean it, but use it.

I do ride it to local shows... I give it mortal hell. That's what I built it for.. powershifting through the gears will carry the front tire and while it barely touches the payment on WOT! I gave it to my 15 year old son for when he turns 16. Keep the miles low on it for that very reason. The smile on his face when he starts it is priceless! If only I was a fly on the wall when him and his friends talk about "his" bike

Put some low rise or MX bars on it with about 10" of total rise, mid pegs, 13-14" shocks in the rear, some good stuff up front with a brace, and I would beat the living **** out of that bike, lol.

Gotta say though, when I first got my bike, I was so paranoid that someone would scratch it or touch it that, when I did ride it, I didn't leave it sitting alone any where - I watched it like a bloody hawk. It didn't even matter if I rode it or not, I'd be out there every day cleaning and polishing it and "tinkering" with things - it was/is my pride and joy.

What I very quickly discovered was that while I loved having the bike, I wasn't enjoying the bike at all - it had become nothing more than a Lawn Ornament to look at, as my wife would say and that wasn't why I bought it.

Eventually, I resigned myself to the fact that no matter how much I took care of it, and still do by the way, I was the only one who cared about it the way I did and that it was inevitable that something would/might happen to it, even if that something was only a stone ship, no matter what I did to protect it.

After that, I started riding the bike and actually enjoying riding it and you know something ... not one thing has happened to it, in fact, I've found that anyone who owns and rides a Harley knows better than to mess with someone else s and, anyone who doesn't own a Harley are too afraid to touch them for fear of what "might happen" to them if they did.

In short, I'd say ride the bike and really enjoy it, show it off and take pride in doing that. But, as Texashillcountry said, it is your bike so at the end of the day, it is what ever makes you happy and contented.
