Default How do I get this glue off?

I peeled the sticker off of my air cleaner and now I'm having trouble getting the residue off. Any ideas of what kind of chemical to use? Also, the reflectors on the frame-under the gas tank.....How are they attached to the frame? I'm bad about breaking things sometimes and I don't want to start breaking things on my new bike. Thanks in advance. It's a street glide if it helps to know.

On bare metal or chrome, acetone will work.On a painted surface you might try Goof Off or WD40.

Get "Goof off" from hardware store. I just finaly got around to doing mine. Goof Off takes all sticker gunk off with a little elbow grease it works well.

The reflectors are stuck on with dble sided tape. Peel 'em off and you will have some more crap to peel off then get rid of the residue.

Gasoline works also if you don't have any of the other stuff lying around. Just be smart about how you use it.

Remove ham can air filter cover and paint it with peanut butter.....then give it to the dog.....he will remove sticker and all traces of glue....small dog requires second application of peanut butter.

Seriously, almost any petro based fluid will work.......Even an orange peel....just squeeze orange peel and squirt fluid on sticker, then wipe.
