Last year I had the bike repainted in State Pearl Blue and never did find the decals to put back on it, something that my wife didn't particularly like. As such, I have been playing around with some thoughts and ideas for the Tank.

What I want is something that doesn't jump out and smack you in the face but blends in with the color of the bike. This is only a photo shop (obviously) effort so it is anything but perfect.

What do you guys think of "something like this":



Be honest and any suggestions appreciated.

 

The Harley Davidson yes, eagle no.

 

You hit the nail on the head first try, that looks good to me.

A good sign shop can make anything these days.

I'd get your painter to clear over whatever you go with.

I'm not all that artistic, hence it being basic plus and your points are taken. I'm actually in two minds about the eagle thing but I know I have to be 100% happy with what ever I finally decide on or I'll hate it.

If I were to remove the eagle, would you replace it with something else, even some sort of color fade darker to the original color, from front to rear maybe?

 

FWIW I like the eagle.

If that is your first attempt I'm sure that what ever you end up with will be cool as hell!!!!

That is nice and is definitely subtle.

 

I think your design looks good. What matters is that you like it.

I’m contemplating what to do with my shovel tins after a needed full engine rebuild + additional work. It’s a personal decision.
