Just brought the 88 FLH home, been a two year project. Top end rebuild EV27 cam, later style bags and new paint. More pics when the rain stops on day 8 now
Nice looking scooter. I really like that two tone paint. I see the painted rims, nice. Is that a Ful Sac true duals? Did you have that on before or just for the rebuild? I am curious because I might do that. Have you ridden it yet or has Mother Nature delayed the fun fest?
The pipes are Sampson true duels. Very good quality and fit perfect. The wheels are original paint just cleaned them up. It's #9 of 830. Keeping the original radio, it works and looks good. I do want to add a IPod hook up. I dont own any cassette tape. Any help out there with the IPod part would help. After that it's just ride and ride and ride some more!
Did not realize there were any other color options on the wheels. I like that look. It was 68 here on Saturday and now it is frickn snowing out. Minnesota is the only place you can get a sunburn one day and frostbite the next. =]
How did you get the newer bags to fit with the battery located behind the original bag? I've been wanting to put newer style bags on but wasn't sure what to do with the battery.
How did the Street Glide style turn signals fit? Did they bolt right up or did you have to do any mods? Been wanting to install them too.
looks great. good job on blending the new stuff with the old.

I've got a few questions for you......

Thanks Chad
there's a few threads in here about how to make the swap. made one myself. the OP relocated the battery under the seat. you can use a 93-96 battery tray. then you trim the right side of it until it fits with the oil tank. or swap to a later trans and move the oil tank, then use 93-96 side covers
the street glide signals bolt right on. just have to wire them up.
