can anyone tell me what the engine temp sensor should ohm out at around 75 degree F..?? HAVE 14 code, idle hi-lo,sputters under load,sounds like ets but want to be sure b-4 spending $100.00...Thanks
No idea, If your ecm is in good shape, an Indy with the appropriate scanner can tell you. My ecm (also a 1998 flhtcui) would not register on the Indy's scanner, that's why is has an S&S super e now.
No scanner necessary. He has already pulled the codes, although the ETS does not always through a code. Go ahead and spend the $100. Consider it the EFI tax.
looks like,sounds like,it is....replaced ETS today,up & runnin YEAH!! Thanks to all for your replys. After workin on appliances for last 30 yrs have come not to believe what control modules tell you...interestingly I ohmed out new ETS at 2.0 bad one read 2.1,probly goes haywire after heating up,but learned ya cant try to be too smart with this -rap,gotta go with what ya see..Thanks again...in the wind!!
