I have owned the bike since new, and it was still running fine. I just wanted to pump it up a little.
This pic shows the polished and plated rear wheel I got as a take-off from an FXSTC. I have since gone back to the spoke wheel for more of an old school look, since I took off all the pretty colored paint.
This is my 1985 fxwg as of a week ago....its now torn down for an upgrade new fenders and taillight and paint.... mine is lowered with 2" understock in the front( 4" total) and 2" in the rear.. I'll post pics soon.

What kind of transmission is that?
Linkage looks like a 5 speed.
I'll add that I have a very nice copy of the factory schematic if anyone needs it. It can be blown up on your PC while the original service manual image is blurry, small, and barely legible.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you lower the rear 2"? There is no way I could lower the rear of my 85 Low Rider 2". I had 1" shorter shocks on it and the belt would rub on the starter gear case. I would like to drop the rear a bit......
