Default 98 fatboy

Took my 98 fatboy to a local shop to replace starter and get engine, primary and transmission oil change. After about 30minutes of riding I notice the rear head was super hot, like hot as my exhaust. First time I have had the bike out this season, maybe I am just paranoid after having it worked on, but I don't remember it being that hot before. Is this normal or should i be concerned? thanks in advance for any thoughts
