Default 1994 Fatboy

Hi. I just bought a 1994 fatboy. I have a couple of questions. First with it being air cooled is it normal to have a quite a bit of heat coming off the bike when I stop.
Secondly I feel a fair bit of vibration on the foot boards is that normal.

If it's still all stock it could be running a bit lean. The moco does that to meet EPA and at the same time it'll run a little hotter.Any mods to the motor? As for the vibration, yeah some is normal. It's a solid mount motor...

When sitting at a stop light look at the rear view mirrors... if you can see anything, you’ll need to thumb the starter button ‘cause the engine isn’t running!

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate any and all help you guys can pass along. This is my first Harley and my first street bike in quite a while. Raising kids takes all your time and money. Lol.

Vibrations will be the norm, blue loctite everything. Preflight inspect your bike often. Harley-Davidson is the only MC that truly will shake itself apart but the imperfection is the allure for me,if you don't like working on bikes ya prolly should have bought a honda. Love ir like a family member and it will reward u w decades of fun, neglect it and it will cost u a fortune. Little problems become big ones, best of luck w your new HD,acess the knowledge here it's infinite.
