Last time I rode the '94 Softail the speedo stopped working.
I ordered a new cable and went to put it on this morning and the Motion Pro fuel valve I put into the crossover tube isn't working right (fuel came pouring out of one side).
So ok I pull off the fuel line from the petcock to drain the tanks that way and damned if the fuel isn't rusty as hell.
I don't see any rust when I look into the tank.
I think the calendar is wrong 'cause this sure feels like a Monday!!!!!!!!!!
One day when I was feeling down and out, a little voice came out of nowhere whispering to me - Cheer up, things could be worse! So I cheered up and sure enough things got worse!
Short cuts not only save time but the great added feature to them is that they create more problems. I considered one of those and choose not to. It's a safer bet to use a solid piece of fuel line. Sorry you have that problem......

The main problem is that I chose the cheap one..(plastic)
The metal one I have on the Heritage works perfectly.
