Default One damn thing after another

Last time I rode the '94 Softail the speedo stopped working.
I ordered a new cable and went to put it on this morning and the Motion Pro fuel valve I put into the crossover tube isn't working right (fuel came pouring out of one side).
So ok I pull off the fuel line from the petcock to drain the tanks that way and damned if the fuel isn't rusty as hell.
I don't see any rust when I look into the tank.

I think the calendar is wrong 'cause this sure feels like a Monday!!!!!!!!!!

Default One Day

One day when I was feeling down and out, a little voice came out of nowhere whispering to me - Cheer up, things could be worse! So I cheered up and sure enough things got worse!

Get that ride going! Weekend's only 2 days away!!

Short cuts not only save time but the great added feature to them is that they create more problems. I considered one of those and choose not to. It's a safer bet to use a solid piece of fuel line. Sorry you have that problem......

That ought to be a bumper sticker!!!!!LOL

I'll have it running within the hour but the Heritage is running fine if I run into something else.

The main problem is that I chose the cheap one..(plastic)
The metal one I have on the Heritage works perfectly.

Did you pull the petcock off to have a look at the screen?

Also, please explain about the valve between the crossover tube. What is that for?

It is not a valve...it is a quick disconnect...so you can pull the tanks without draining the fuel.
