Calipers and the Speedo drive were tough, the Speedo would not preload the wheel bearings for nothing (left side for those not in the know) this impacted the spacing on the left side caliper. Of course I threw caution to the wind and went for a 1 mile jaunt using only the rear brake. Everything went back to normal after that fiasco.

The ride suffered no ill effects nor did it improve anything. Being honest it does look not full enough in the fender if you're looking for that. It rained terribly coming home one night and that Pirelli was the *****!

Softail forum members claim a 23 inch wheel will fit into a stock fender with zero modifications. Can't speak to that but a 21" fit just fine.

Great thanks more money i gotta spend now..... Fat spoke front 21 i see in my future.

Low speed handling is a little different but the ride quality is fine if not better I thought.

Cannot say that I agree with you, sir. I meant it that I found no difference. Maybe the tire compensated for it somewhat, I was running a stock Dunlop on the 16" rim.

Ymmv but I think the wheel looks better and the more I ogle it, the skinnier it becomes in that meaty fender.

If it's in your budget then go for it!

I think I went with a beefier tire than yours. I put the 120/70 on. Low speed maneuvering felt a tad different to me. But that's just my experience though. I like it overall. And yours looks good. If your bike has an axle speedo drive, you'll have to change that gear out if you haven't already.
