Make sure it's not tight on the wrong side of the adjuster..I've seen that happen.

And while you're down there I'd strongly suggest making you cable housing a little longer to give the lever more bite in disengaging the clutch, I bet that'll fix your issue.

Same with primary, mine shifts best a couple ounces less than what the manual calls for, and I still get plenty of primary fluid (15w-50) throwing around in there.

The above two items don't cost anything but a little oil, and if it solves the problem, then great. If not, move on to the other items suggested here. YD
I will drain a little fluid and readjust clutch...im interested to see what kind of affect it will have...i am also wondering about having too much slack now in primary chain...

Have you opened up your clutch hub and checked the condition of your fibers and spring plate?

I would do that first as it is easier to reach than the tranny.
And since you are in there anyway I would upgrade the fibers to some good Barnett ones.

I've been chasing a hard downshift from 5th to 4th since I've had mine. New cables, many different clutch cable adjustment methods, fluid levels, etc. Still have the issue only shifting down from 5th to 4th. I'm not Hijacking the thread, I've had plenty of feedback on my issue, and tried them all. Just curious how this turns out for you.

I found this to be a helpful video on how to adjust both the clutch and the clutch cable.
