Cheers Guys.....I did about 75 miles the other day with the new old wheels on...bike rode great. I have to admit setting up the rear wheels three tapered roller bearings was more difficult than the standard two bearing set up that most wheels have. Luckily I had a bunch of old VW beetle king pin shims that I could use to get it right. It took a little longer due to the JDs ....
I love the look of these wheels.
BTW I found some small cracks ( 6 in total ) where the spokes go in the front hub on the wire wheels....I never noticed them before, you guys might want to have a close inspection on your rides wire wheels.
