Yeah, factory manual, fluids and tires. Repack the wheel bearings while you do the tires.

NEW OIL THREAD WARNING:

Use HD grease for the wheel bearings. I use Mobil 1 ATF in the primary and Mobil SHC630 in the transmission. It is not recommended to use that HD syn-stuff in all three holes on an Evo. Most of us do not use full synthetics in our Evo motors. As your bike is practically new, you might be able to get away with it.

Once you get it running keep an eye out for oil leaks around the heads. I bought a garage queen just like yours and the rocker gaskets gave way really fast.

Hmm, interesting. Saw some weeping from a low mile evo and it too was at the heads and not the usual culprit of the base gaskets.

If this is an FXR,check bottom of oil tank for sediment. Also Clean screen to tappet feed on Evo,before and after running for awhile.

99 Dynas aren't EVOs. Touring and Dynas go the TC treatment in 1999.

Other than the early shovelheads, all FXR's were Evo.

The 1999 FXR2 and FRX3 have a rubber mounted EVO motor. The 2000 FXR4 was the last bike with the EVO motor. I believe they were limited CVO production runs at the York PA plant.

I stand corrected. Are FXR's not Dynas, or did HD just decide to keep them with an EVO?

FXRs are definitely not Dynas. Dynas supplanted the FXR because they were cheaper to build. FXR frame is much stiffer and therefore the handling is better. FXRs were discontinued after the 1994 models, but were brought back in 1999 and 2000 as the very first CVO models.
