Has anyone tried the replacement electric fuel pump from fuel pump factory or anywhere else? The fuel pump from Harley is about $260 and fuel pump from fuel pump factory is about $50.
Don't know if it's the same part # but I have one from a 96 Road King I'll give you, if you want it. I took it out when I did my conversion from EFI to carb.
Thank you very much, but I ordered one already, should be here next day or so.
Mine hasn't stopped working, it just makes a loud noise from time to time, and being about 20 years old, I want to replace it and the injectors.
Thank you again for the offer.
I would say the injectors are fine. Put some (ahhh) Sea Foam through the system if you are concerned. I did have to replace some injectors on my RN Truck, but they had somewhere around 300K miles on them and one of the 4 went bad. I don't think you will ever wear out a HD injector as long as the fuel system holds together.
If the pump is making noises, yeah, replace that, and an aftermarket one should be OK. HD don't make fuel pumps. I bought a HD fuel pump for the Sportster conversion on ebay. It was dead. I would up using one off of a Polaris Victory something or other. After I bought it and inspected it, it is just a Walpro. I could have got it at any auto parts store cheaper.
