Since I bent my 21 inch spoked wheel and yes I could get it fixed, but it has given me an excuse to look at a cast front wheel which I prefer anyway. Sorry for you spoke guys. I have been looking for a old pro one wideglide 21 on eBay or Craigslist with no avail. I don't want to buy a new one due to the fact that they cost a lot. I actually have really wanted a thunder star. I have a cci adapter for a narrow glide to wideglide wheel sitting in my garage which has brought me to the idea of picking up a cast spoked sporty or Dyna takeoff wheel. My question is how would that look (if anyone has done this and has pictures showing it with the wideglide front end) and will this work with my mechanical speedo drive?
Well now I am just having a conversation with myself. I put up a speedo drive unit to that spacer. The drive tab clears the spacer so that part could fit on the brake rotor. However the length of the drive unit as a spacer to the bearing would not. Can I put another spacer on the wheel side of it to take up the gap and still have the drive unit function?

You can but you are forgetting one thing.
It isn't the most important thing to get a drive gear to work, having the correct spacing on the wheels so that they track straight going down the road is vastly more important IMO.
